Support that makes life easier

Illness or some other unexpected misfortune can quickly make it difficult to make ends meet. This is where the 2 x Christmas campaign comes in: the goods received from donors are distributed to people in need through the various SRC cantonal associations. The foodstuffs and hygiene articles really help when the budget is tight. 

One of the beneficiaries is a school bus driver. Since being diagnosed with cancer, she has only been able to work part-time. The trained animal keeper and qualified hospitality manager used to run a restaurant, but due to her illness she is no longer able to do so. Working part-time as a bus driver, she barely earns enough to cover the ever-rising cost of living. 

The 2 x Christmas campaign provides her with welcome relief for her household budget and the feeling that she doesn’t need to cope on her own.
